blimpbits origin as reminded to bear: Just some background info, Blimp Bits was a joint project between Jordan and me. As I recall, he goaded me into finding the crashed airship and proposed the idea. I ended up tracking the craft down to its owners, Airship International, in Miami. I think The Division Belle was the former Met Life airship. The ship met its maker during a bad storm in Miami on June 27, 1994. Airship International ended up sending me a large piece of the ship that included the fabric and a big piece of the wiring harness and several of the little lights used to illuminate the ship at night. They also sent me an Airship International t-shirt that had pictures of their airships on it, including The Division Belle. So I created the artwork for the certificates and spent hours in my basement cutting up the bits, printing the certificates, and assembling them. A very primitive process. Jordan helped cut the bits out as well and provided the prints of the photograph used. There was an Airship International sticker of a gold airship that was affixed to the certificates as well. Certainly I am not interested in any additional credit in your opus, I'm just passing on some fuzzy recollections of the genesis of the Blimp Bits. You know that credit is not my bag, but it might be worthwhile to mention the contribution that Airship International made to the project.ok, i won't out you (that'd put me in the dog house for sure) but i will tender "cheers!" a big thank you very much for the favor of fleshing out the phoenix-like events for us. ::end:: echoes_ai-bb_origin.html ncp598-0030 28jun2026
