The echoes email discussion list was strictly a "plain text only" platform.
Even so, you will find herein some examples of some physical items, none of which could be directly shared in the list.

This section holds images of pre-production proof sheets for the US cd (before the final page assignments in the cd package were set) and the UK cd with Braille on the outside surface of the tray.
nb: filenames, sheet numbering, etc. are bear's only, actual page numbers are per the artwork, things like "0819 2005" are shorthands for paired pages in the proof, being pages 08 with 19 and 20 with 05 in this case - nary a phone number in the lot (no matter what your browser might offer up).

The Braille UK TDB cd

Description: UK release of TDB with Braille

Operational Context: The UK releases all apparently had the same EMI catalogue number, but some of the UK versions had Braille on the outside of the cd tray, in line with the communications theme of TDB. The Braille version was not a "limited edition" run, they were mass produced, so such are inexpensively collectable. The pic shows such a Braille jewel case and the CBTL artwork with its differing perspective, illustrating a major difference between the US and UK booklets. (Yes, the observatory on pages 2 & 3 have slightly different POV between UK & US versions, and KT pages differ in monkey colours, but nothing like the complete flip in the CBTL images.)

CD Booklet Page 19 Variant When we met later, Storm didn't enlighten me with more than a brief bit of "oh, you didn't" eye contact when TDB was brushed upon in the middle of our all too brief (but wide ranging) conversation which was at that moment centered on his cover for Gentlemen Without Weapons' "transmission", dipping into his (more than "artist deep") understanding of signals & ground, channel distortions/impairments, etc. in communications, the stuff behind what he'd visually represented. So, i still don't know if they were just shuffling songs, presenting a clue, or setting up a sting to trace leaks.
